From time to time, when you are an artist of Professor Jay’s calibre, for example, there will some fellas trying to shoot at you. It may be not the shootings like the ones in New York City, Chicago, Toronto, South Central LA etc. They will shoot you with lyrics in order to trigger some sort of hip-hop battles. That is something I wouldn’t suggest to anyone. If you are trying to come out, Professor Jay is probably not the right convenience store to rob. You will be video-taped and you will be killed anyway. Don’t walk the knife-edge of danger.Lesson learned,right?

I have spent countless hours with Professor Jay in studios,streets, home etc. Ubongo wake ni mkubwa. Even with countless hours together, I still can’t get over the obsessive sense of everything coming out of his mouth to the recording microphones. Every time he clears his throat, I want to pay attention. I listen to every word and syllables. Sometimes it’s like falling into silence without a sound, without any weight.
