The year 2013 was definitely one of the best for Lady JayDee. Not only did she bounce back superbly in music , but she also ventured in television where she now have a reality show Diary Ya Lady JayDee. After 13 years in the industry, such highlights are important. When you are expected to be slowing down, a new day has just began. Songs like Yahaya and Joto Hasira became a street and corporate anthem. I’m sure it was a much needed breather for her career.
Even though she also faced major challenges including lawsuits, 2013 will probably go down the “history” lane as the year that defined Lady JayDee. She became an Anaconda. She embraced the name and image and fans accepted. Now it is time to live the image she has created for herself and juggle life as it happens.
When that fire hasn’t settled, here she is again with a brand new single Historia. In this song Jide poses a challenge and probably a question that I have personally struggled with for years. When I kick the bucket, who will remember me and most importantly how will I be remembered? Of course I don’t let such questions change any game plan for life but it matters to keep ourselves checked.
